SR22 Alaska – How To Get a Better Rate Quote
Reader’s Question:
What does SR22 insurance in Alaska cover? My wife has never had a license. When she was given a moving citation for not having car insurance on the car that she was driving, they suspended her non-existing license.

An sr22 financial responsibility certificate is a form which must be filed by the insurance carrier stating that car liability (bodily injury liability and property damage liability) insurance is in effect for a particular person. It is required when insurance is provided to a person who was in an accident or was convicted of a traffic violation and was unable to show proof financial responsibility.
So, if your wife still resides in Alaska, he will need to take out a sr22 insurance policy. And, to keep that insurance policy “in effect,” she will be required to obtain her Alaska driver’s license. Now, if she lives outside of Alaska, she will need to find an insurance carrier that will write a “Alaska sr22.
Most insurance carriers will not write an out-of-state sr22. Because of this, she may have to take out a policy through an insurance carrier run by the state in which she is residing.

2. Are you active or retired military?
3. Can you buy online?
4. Do you only drive to and from work or school, this is a “limited use vehicle”
5. Can you raise your deductible amount?
6. Do you belong to a credit union?
7. Does your college offer a discount for alumni?
8. Can you combine your home and auto insurance together?
This is pretty crude humor, but it’s kind funny anyway.
